Bergen Center for Child Development is a small private special education non-profit school which offers an intimate learning environment in which each student has the opportunity to grow and reach his/her potential in a warm and caring family-like atmosphere. Upon entering BCCD one immediately feels the warmth happiness and joy of learning. The students are actively involved in their own educational journey and feel good about their successes. BCCD uses behavioral and educational techniques which teach for success and build self esteem. The staff's dedication to the students allows them to reach their full potential. Each classroom is maintained like a small family unit in which the positive is accentuated. The most important factor in our learning environment is the feeling of safety and security; our students know that BCCD focuses on meeting their needs. Learning involves not only the academic curriculum, but supports our students emotional behavioral and social growth.
